Hi all

I'm a T2 diagnosed in Feb currently taking 500ml Metformin twice a day

I was wondering how everyone copes with alcohol has i haven't drunk since starting the meds.

Hi and welcome. The Metformin leaflet says to avoid alcohol, but I think many of us do have it but we try to be careful. Don't binge and have water as well. Only you can decide how much you have but do read the leaflet.

Most of us have an occasional tipple...just be careful...and use your meter.....if it's beer...then I would say no...leave it....it just turns to sugar
