After four days of huge roast dinners and loads of carbs in every meal I’ve just endured the worst night of sickness and diarrhea ever followed by 24 hours of being totally wasted. Is this just a winter sickness or could it due to a complete overload of carbs - like the opposite of Keto-flu?

Yes, the timing would suggest it could be related to the carbs; on a related note, it could also be lots of food you're not really used to any more, or just more food than you're used to: any of those things could easily give you a stomach upset and following feelings of being quite unwell.

As a Type1 in theory as long. as I cover my carbs with insulin I can eat as many as I like. However, my body cannot seem to process all the unexpected sugar and fats so gives me an upset tummy. Also react in the same way to hypo treatments.
Have had non-food related vomiting over Christmas but this was accompanied by sweats, body aches and higher than usual BS.

Without wanting to sound flippant or dismissive, I think you probably realise your guess is as good as ours. We could only speculate.

All I'd say is to ensure you are well hydrated, and have a bit of rest until you feel better. Either way, hopefully, the recovery period won't be too long.

After Christmas, my BG skyrocketed over night, I woke up sweating & thirsty and for the first time in 6 months, felt that ugly carb hunger every 2 hours.

It’s now Friday am— -20 carbs Wed & Thursday and still have not brought down my BG to pre Christmas readings.

My stomach ached, and other symptoms similar to da carter.

I’ve gone 16-18 hours fasted each morning since but likely need more to recover.

It wasn’t worth it.
