Sitting here on a Saturday evening after a busy day, Im sipping a very rare glass of Cider. I am thinking how bad is Cider really? I know its very sweet but does the alcohol counteract the sugar spike? The one Ive got is probably pretty bad but very tasty, Its Toffee apple cider Yummy. I usually have a pear cider on the very rare occasion I have a drink, but spotted these in the supermarket today.

The other question is, if im taking in lots of sugar, will I come out of Ketosis? Still got loads of weight to lose. So is it really worth the drink?? Well it is rather tasty.

As to whether the alcohol counteracts the carbs, I expect it will, but you'd have to test to be sure. As for Ketosis, just don't know. If the alcohol lowers your BG, or at least balances the carb effect, I suspect it wouldnt affect being in Ketosis, but don't know. Hey, just enjoy!

Maybe as you have type it ain't that bad but for anyone insulin dependent cider will spike you glucose levels massively. If I've had cider then put the carbs in my pump I just yo yo, not good.

Well it was so good, I plan to have another this weekend. My levels before going to bed were 5.2 which was pretty good.
