I Have just read a recipe which used cinnamon it claimed that cinnamon reduced blood sugar . now I have heard this claim before although not for all cinnamon only for Ceylon cinnamon Which I have tried my observation would be that I cant say it lowered my B.S. on its own I did how ever seem to make my control more consistent without as many ups and downs and it seemed to improve my dawn readings.. I still take it and my results were over 2 months to notice changes

I would be interested if others have tried cinnamon if so what kind. and what results were

I use it a lot in cooking does seem to help a bit but then again I use fenugreek as well and that seems to help as well.

Do you use Ceylonese Cinnamon or other (Chinese) as I have read that they are from different types of bark and only the Ceylonese is claimed to help B.S....Ceylonese is more expensive (Go Figure ! ) no serious studies to confirm. yes I to Like the flavour. but wonder if I am the victim of an clever scam or am getting some sort of Placebo effect
My reason for posting here was to get the views of others.. as a side note most cinnamon sold in supermarkets here do not state country of origin so hard to compare.

I only use Ceylonese mainly because the other cinnamon tends to have highish levels of coumarin which acts as a blood thinner and can be toxic to the kidneys and liver.
