Hi All,

Does anyone know how to use cinnamon to lower blood sugar quickly.

I am due to do some travelling for my work, and know that at some stage of the period away from the uk I may not be able to get access to preferred diet or what I am used to having and may have to plump for on the go food as in what looks a safe-backup to eat due to the locations I will be in etc.

I am therefore thinking worse case scenario - if I have to take a Danish from breakfast to keep with me, I know it will cause a sugar spike if it is all I have to rely on ( and a bottle of water) after not eating for a while and because the area where I will be may not have food hygiene standards that are good - hence passing on eating rather than fall ill etc.

If I eat the Danish and then there is a sugar spike, if I take a cinnamon tablet this should (?) then help lower the sugar in the blood, but does anyone know how soon this can happen eg within a hour ? I can see me having to do this at least twice on the business trip, so need to know I can get my sugar levels down as soon as possible.

Any answers would be most welcome because I would prefer to avoid having a high sugar in the blood as if on the G Tolerance Test. I hated having the high sugar count when I get tested every 2 years and could not wait for it to fall so I was my old self again. I guess I have become a bit obsessive that I want my blood sugar to fall after eating the Danish so I can have the blood sugar at the level it would normally be if I were at home or in a decent hotel where I can have food that is in line with my needs etc etc.

All help welcome.

Thanks
Lisa
