Ceylon cinnamon good, rest (cassia) dodgy. Green tea good. Honey, er, some of us do, most don't.
If you decide to use a sweetener instead, don't use xylitol. I see you like walking dogs so there must be some around and xylitol is poisonous to them.

Acceptance of health treatment claims that are not adequately supported by evidence. I dislike it when people sell ineffective and even harmful alternative health products to exploit the desperation of people with chronic illness.
There's no harm in eating cinnamon in the usual amounts we have in food, and it's quite tasty. If you want to take it as a supplement aimed at reducing blood sugar, then the research only shows a very small effect on blood sugars. There is a fair amount of hype about cinnamon for reducing blood sugar, but the level of effect isn't supported by research. I think the reduction I read about was 0.09%
I like a sprinkle of cinnamon on my afternoon espresso. I learnt that in Starbucks, when I was drinking grande mocchas, more than a decade ago - all that cinnamon didn't prevent my diabetes
