I'm female so can't comment from experience obviously, but circumcision is a big step and if I was you I'd explore other options first just to make sure there isn't anything you can do. Thrush can cause a surprising amount of inflammation and soreness, and if you can get rid of that, you could see how things are.

I think the big question should be is this an ongoing problem that you have had all your life or relatively new? If all the machinery worked fine until recently then I would think twice about circumcision and try everything else first. My son had a condition where the foreskin was too tight and still attached to the head of his penis. It ended up getting badly infected because proper hygiene was impossible as it would not retract. He had to be circumcised at 7 years of age. Not fun and the stitches became infected after.

I had a circumcision at 57 years old and it's still sore at 66 years of age. I inject humalog 75/25 twice daily. It's like a bruise at area that was cut on right side. Erections no problem. But the feeling is not great . Also will get sore if I walk without underwear to see if it's still sore. Cheers Kevin.
