Just googled this stuff on t'internet.

Anybody know about this from personal experience? My guess is I should discuss this with my GP next time I see him as I'm already taking other meds in addition to 3 x 500mg Metformin daily for my T2. Possibly need to discuss with my periodontist too?

Just wondered if anybody knows here?

Thanks

P.S. It's an interesting topic to google and digest too even if it's not for you. :)

Hi DD.
Just noticed you have not had any answers........

There is a debate about this in some places. We have members on here who use it with no ill effects and have benefited from it in many ways. Check out this link from the University of Maryland Medical Centre: http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/coen ... 000295.htm

Diabetes
CoQ10 supplements may improve heart health and blood sugar and help manage high cholesterol and high blood pressure in individuals with diabetes. High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and heart disease are all common problems associated with diabetes. Despite some concern that CoQ10 may cause a sudden and dramatic drop in blood sugar (called hypoglycemia), two recent clinical studies in people with diabetes given CoQ10, 200 mg 2 times daily, showed no hypoglycemic response. If you have diabetes, talk to your doctor or registered dietitian before using CoQ10.

There are many more if you do a search on the net, some with conflicting advice........lets hope you get a few answers now we have 'bumped' it up.

I'm definitely not an expert, but I can tell you from personal experience that when I stopped taking statins and metformin, and started taking high quality, high strength CoQ10, I started to feel much better after around a week. I just felt more upbeat, and had more energy.

It's not expensive, why don't you give it a try?
