We take uniquinol for its supposed extra strength.
I don't take statins but do take plant sterols.
Co. Enzyme q10 is turned into Ubiquinol by the body by using an enzyme. Some of us dont have have this enzyme... So take ubiquinol instead. Without a test to seeif you have the enzyme, you cannot be sure you have it, so ubiquinol is probably a safer bet!
Hi Carina, I took some for a time but I felt no difference because I had low vit d. I am feeling a lot better after taking vit d but I have non diabetic prescribed drug problems and don't want to complicate things ATM. Will be taking it in future. Very necessary if one is on statins since they rob one of Q10. D.
I take bucketfuls of co enzyme q 10, mainly for Mitochondrial disease and it is desperately essential for mobility issues, although I also have Mitochondrial diabetes too. Sadly not available through the GP but can be prescribed by hospitals if you can find the right doctor/dept.
Wouldn't be without even though I am spending around £100 on it, just hoping to see my consultant next month and try asking again...
I guess you know Carina Vit D3 works better with a K2 supplement?I was also found to have low Vit D at my last HBAic and had to take a 12 week course of Vit D supplements. I'll ask to get re-tested at my next review.
