Coconut oil bad for us?

Beef fat is bad?

Lucky for us our ancestors managed to survive eating it. And pork and lamb fats too - and as for all those geese eaten at Christmas - and yet heart attacks were so rare at the same times as they were eating all that fat.

I'm afraid that there does seem to be a distinct lack of correlation in the results - avoiding fats doesn't seem to be producing an increase in cardio vascular fitness, in fact, just the reverse, so concerns about coconut oil would seem to be rather irrelevant.

Look no further than AHA.
Their science is a bit cockeyed, so is this a valid report?

In particular I point to the following:
<<<
Cholesterol is a fatty substance that can be found in some foods
>>>

The truth is that virtually ALL the cholesterol in our bodies is manufactured in situ as required, and is not sourced from food intake directly. So shellfish cholesterol is not actually compatible with our bodies, and has to be broken up and rebuilt in our own likeness (as required, of course)
Coconut oil is mainly Medium Length Chain Fatty Acids, so is probably the most easily digestable Sat Fat there is.

I am reminded of a report that an Australian Hospital issued where they correlated post mortem deaths from CVE against LDL levels, and showed that the majority were in fact presenting with LOW levels of LDL.There are other studies that show that mortality in people with low LDL actually increased, and also got worse with age. Edit: actually what I wrote here makes perfect sense, naturally!!!

you are right about that , but I guess our ancestors also regulary did use almost every gram of fat on their body... maybe there is an essential difference there
