Are we allowed to eat Coconut in its natural form like a whole Coconut?.Not suggesting eating a whole Coconut but noticed Morrisons sells it already chopped in a little tub. I never hear of anybody mentioning it or snacking on it,

There is a difference of opinion there - I always thought that it was about 6 percent fresh and 8 percent for the dried - that is what the pack I got in Lidl says, 7.9 percent carbs for their 'Belbake' brand of dessicated.

I use usually small amounts of coconut regularly too in various forms, but I rarely need or want to snack. But if you choose to do so, then think laterally, and choose your carb quantity and adjust the amount you'll eat accordingly - and keep that away from the orignal pack. Then test and see how it goes... You'll probably see a longish bump rather than a sharper spike due to the high fat content.

Hi, you might like to try coconut flakes from nutriseed, they are very moorish :)

I think you mean “Does coconut significantly affect my BG?”
There is no one persecuting you because you eat “the wrong thing”.

However, there are many reasons beyond BG which determine whether we want to eat something such as whether you are vegetarian, whether you prefer to limit food miles, whether you care about what the food is wrapped in, whether you want to eat organic, whether you want to lose/gain weight, whether you are allergic to something, whether you have an intolerance, ...

When I say "allowed",not to be taken literally lol... I meant does it raise BG levels in most people with Insulin problems

Thing is it may spike most people or not but we are all individuals and if you go by what it does to others you may be denying yourself something you like for no good reason so it's best to test and see how you react to it.
