Hi newbie here just started with meter, I think (hope) I have made an error, I stabbed myself had the test strip in the meter but did not get enough blood at first try, I left the same strip in the meter forced out some more blood and got a high reading for me of 10.2, all other tests (only 7) have been between. 5.8 & 7.5. Would my use of the same strip have caused a possible false reading.

Sorry for asking a dumb question, but as said new diagnosed and doing everything in my power, additional exercise, eating basically LCHF diet, lost a stone in weight in 5/6 weeks.

For some reason I started leaving used strips in my meter pouch and had a run of very high for me readings. I realised I'd picked up some of the used strips- if it hasn't got to much blood in it, or has dried out sufficiently, the meter doesn't always throw out an error code and will give you a reading, albeit a corrupted one.
