I hate my code free. All results were stupidly high, and my hba1c confirms that as well.

I got the reply today from your local council:
Hi Lucy
Regarding your enquiry relating to the safe disposal of lancets. Please replace the cover on the end of the lancet, you can then dispose of it in your normal domestic wheeled bin.
Regards
Kevin Cairns
I am gobsmaked that such different rules are being applied in different areas!!! In Coventry we can be fined for this. Even if we have been misinformed by someone at the city council, we can still be fined for not using a sharps box and taking it to our local pharmacy.
You do realise that comparing the results from 3 different meters can seriously damage your peace of mind. Just comparing the results from 2 different batches on my Codefree had me goingBioHaZarD said:I have been getting good results today from the code free, this morning was 6.0, pre lunch 6.5, post lunch 6.7 so far, I have just got my freestyle lite this morning, so at some point will compare the freestyle lite, accu chek Aviva and codefree.

With the accuracy parameters that are in place in the production in different strips you can get a wide range of readings, all of which could be classed as "accurate", so trying to reconcile the readings from 3 meters!!! well you are braver man than me..

BioHaZarD said:Ok so after lunch on codefree I was 6.4 and pre dinner I was codefree 6.2 and Aviva 6.4 so .2 of a difference. Having a good day so far lowest 6.0 first thing in morning which is great and highest 6.7 before lunch, so just need to see what after dinner and night is.

That's not bad, my codefree did read higher quite a lot of the time, so .2 is pretty good.
Seriously though, stick to one meter, you will drive your self nuts otherwise.

Ok, last time I promiseI just checked my after dinner levels slightly over 2 hours, and both my codefree and Aviva read 6.3.
BioHaZarD said:I got 100 codefree strips + 10 that came with it, I was prepared to buy strips at £25 a pop for the Aviva as its a small price to pay for your health, but as getting them free I am gonna splash on a few more boxes of codefrees just so I got lots of backups, I am of on hols tomorrow so there's gonna be temptation, so wanna be prepared. Also if I don't use so Many free ones in too much of a quick time, they shoud keep giving them to me
