Cognition Issues after meals - diabetes?

Hi,

I have been having problems with severe confusion and inability to think straight during conversations, daily tasks and university work. This only happens after meals (within minutes) and lasts for a few hours. It also occurs sometimes if I go a long time without eating. I am not sure what is causing my problems but most information I had read points to some form of blood sugar control issue. I am wondering if anyone can give me some advice on whether I should consult a professional about this or try to solve the issue myself?

Thanks

No it's been happening for about a year and I haven't seen any professional regarding it.

Ok. You said the confusion was "severe" so I'd say it was best to see a Dr and just get it checked out, for reassurance if nothing else.

It could be caused by a number of things so a general check over would be sensible :)

Thos symptoms could be glucose issues but they could be other things too - food intolerances, as an example.

Definitely better to get checked out by a professional.

Good luck with getting it sorted.
