Can anyone advise me please ...my husband is t2 and is diet only has lost nearly 3 stones and now complains that they are always cold ...this never happened before and i don't want to send him on a fools errand to the GP other than that he is doing really well ...he gets a couple of beers for a treat ,so any advice would really be welcomed as he asks me all these questions as though i have ALL the answers Thank you peeps :nurse:

At my last review the nurse said, "Your feet are very cold, do they feel cold to you?". They didn't feel cold to me so when I read your post I wondered this. Do they feel hot or cold to you and is his subjective sensation different? I think that if the two of you disagree then there might be something wrong in the sensory nerve department and it might be worth telling a doctor.

If you both agree that they are indeed cold then gloves and socks and turn the heating up.

my hands and feet are always cold too, my wife will be sitting next to me on the same sofa in the same room and her hand and feet will be warm and mine be freezing, they dont feel cold to me unless they touch something else or her for example or if i say touched my own forehead it would feel like i had a temperature when i dont, this is unhelpful lol because i dont know why

I also lost about 3 stone then noticed cold hands and feet, was then diagnosed with Raynauds. Think my weight had probably been hiding it.

Back to the original thread...
I suffer from feelings of cold hands/feet but wife swears I have hot hands (but cold feet when i creep into bed <G>)

I also have cold feet and hands and I put it down to the amount of weight I've lost over the last eight months as my wife suffered as well when she lost a lot of weight a few years back. However, like Andy, I also Googled Raynaud's and I do have ridges on the nails of my big toes and a cracked nail on one other toe. :( Time to consult my GP I think just in case.
