Doing my job standing up to 8 hours a night 6 nights a week my feet do get quite a few aches and pains which i manage with hot soaks and massages but one thing more than anything is the blasted cold nights!! Try as I might I cannot get my feet warmer or comfortable. I've tried lots of layers, Thermal socks, heat pads and insoles even thermal boots but I can't seem to find the product that might just work for me. Has anyone any suggestions for quality socks, boots, insoles etc? My circulation is fine and all is on track health wise.

can also be due to kind of neuropathy too unfortunately , my mother has that problem too , maybe also your job is NOT in the long run good for your circulation . It feels really bad I understand that one can not get ones feet warm even with hot socks. So health wise you know it is not neuropathy in any ways ? And no nerve sqeezed in your back either ? Socks for skiing and thermo boots would then be my best suggestion , But the many hours of standing is maybe also contribution to your problem, understand your BC-levels are normal and not raised.

When I lived in a country where winters were cold, with very low temperatures, in winter I used to use use silk socks as a liner, often underneath a more conventional sock for skiing, or whatever.

More recently, I have discovered bamboo clothing. It's not as bizarre as it sounds, but is much easier to maintain than silk or cashmere. Like silk it is very, very thin, so doesn't bulk up the foot (or body) form, unduly, making it very wearable under "normal" clothing.

I think you're probably into a period of trial and error to be honest. Make sure whatever you buy wicks any moisture away from your feet as damp and cold is even more miserable than "just" cold.

I have no idea what your job is, but moving around regularly could also help maintain warmth a bit.

Heat Holder socks I find great
Work down on the docks & is chilly there! Heat holders are great, use them everyday
