Pizza (makes my BG go through the roof), Pasta & potatoes.
I have always had cold hands but of late its become rediculous. My wife has to wear gloves to hold my hand and when I shake hands with folks at work, I always get the' cold hands warm heart' comment.

My feet seem to be going the same way. They feel like icicles most of the time on the end of my legs.

I am 40, type 2, diagnosed for 3 months and have things under control with low carbs and 3 metformin per day.

I have lost around 3 stone since diagnosis and taking things seriously.

I have heard of neuropathy but surely I would be having pain or tingling if it was that?

I am the same, always have been since childhood so mine is nothing to do with diabetes.
Wear thick socks and a pair of gloves to help. I feel the cold a lot more after losing weight.

If you are concerned see your GP it could be something non-diabetic related.

Neuropathy does tend to be painful and tingling.

Hi Sue,

I never thought it could be weight loss related, you could be right - i suppose since i have shed the big flabby body suit i was wearing its obvious i should feel the cold more.

Thanks

carl

ive lost nearly 7 stone since being diagonosed and my hands and feet are the same. i find i have to go fo a walk just to warm them up. ive seen the doctor and he said it was one of those things checked blood preasure and colesteral and every thing was ok. 2 yrs ago in the winter i was out in a tee shirt and shorts this year im wrapped up like the artic hare <<<<<<<<<<<< IN APRIL

I can sympathise as I have also always had feet like ice blocks! I often take a wheaty bag to bed cos it's so cozy!

does your hands ever change colour go white purple or blue?
it sounds alot like raynouds disease not sure if that is correct spelling.
I have raynouds disease and it sounds like my symptoms, not much you can do except wear thick gloves and socks, in extreme cases doctors will sometimes prescribe beta blockers which I know are for heart conditions but it works for raynauds also.
also just anted to say well done for loosing so much weight :)
