I've been using a Ethyl Chloride Fast Acting Vapo-Coolant for a pump cannula insertion recently, and we've just ran out and our GP is refusing to supply it, so we bought Deep Freeze, would that work?

@Raymond J . Welcome to the forum.
Apologies as I'm not a pump user I'm not certain of the reason for using a cold spray. I'm assuming ( dangerous pastime) that it's to avoid pain whilst inserting cannula?
If it is, then although I have no idea regarding Deep Freeze usage I could maybe offer another option.
EMLA cream. It's a local anaesthetic cream available over the counter and works really well, obviously you would have to check its suitability alongside what you're doing.
If I'm totally off track then just see this as a " bump" for your post.:)
Good luck

You're on track :). I came here to ask so I don't need to go to call up my nurse... and yes I receive some pain when inserting the cannula.
