Cold & sugar Levels

I was diagnosed type 1 about 6 months ago. My blood sugar levels have been fine. However during the past week they have been a bit all over the shop. I have had levels of between 9 and 14 quite often, but they are always fine first thing in the morning.. I am currently on Novorapid during the day and lantus at night. What is going on? Should my levels be this high with a cold? The readings are particularly high when i test mid way between injections!! Help. Frustrated new type 1.

Hiya, I am T2 but when I am unwell my BGs shoot right up - I had a cold and chest infection earlier in the year and it took weeks for my BGs to go back to normal. If you are worried go and see the doc.

I've had s cold over the last week and my sugars were all higher than normal. Normally it's around 5 in the morning but at one point was at 10
