colds&blood sugar

type 2 for 2years on metformin blood sugar usually 7/ 7.5 i have a heavy cold.blood sugar 11.2 this morning does having a cold put up blood sugar.
 
I would definitely say it does, my bloods range between 5-7, I've had a cold for the past week and I can't get my bloods into single figures!
 
I have the same issue, I'm type 1 but my BG has not been under 9 this week even though I am making the correct insulin adjustment, it's driving me nuts! Highest BG was 14.7!!!!! **** cold!
