Have just got back from a week in France, avoiding the appalling UK weather and discovering that the French still haven't learnt how to cook steak ..
I did, however, discover a new way of buying wine (at least new to me) - something I get through a fair bit of these days as a Metformin supplement.
Some friends took us to one of these Cave wine tasting places, but where they sell their own wine from a sort of petrol pump attached to a great big vat the size of a bus. Filling two new petrol cans (honestly) I bought 5 litres of red and 7 litres of Rose for 20 euros (about £16). It's all now decanted in to sterilized screw top bottles saved for the purpose.
