Yes, any illness can push your blood sugar higher than it would usually be.

Keep hydrated and keep testing to see how things go.

Oh yes - when I was starting off a cold last time my morning BS was 12.5! Garlic pearls and Dalgety's Honey & Ginger Tea are my recommendations! Garlic is very anti-viral - just try not to overdo it! No more than 2 pearls a day. Sleep I find is the best option. Hope you feel better soon.
