glad im not alone .. i refused my flu jab but not next year i be first in the que lol x

I have had the worst flu and colds again this year, lasted weeks....
Resulted in chest infection.....that always happens with me though :/. And I had my flu jab?
End up on antibiotics......
Yes they are worse since being diagnosed.....recovery time is longer.....Kat x

I'm on my first virus since being diagnosed in January. Runny nose and lungs on fire. The real downer for me is that it is keeping me off my rowing machine which I use every day to reduce weight and lower my BG levels.

Everyone in my office has been coughing and spluttering for months, but I haven't caught it (I'll probably go down with something now!).

I eat blueberries and take a zinc supplement, maybe this has something to do with it.

Yep - get every bug on offer !

My man flu has been with me since Monday and it's getting worse by the day...wondering when my lungs will stop burning.

yes ive had a chest infection ive had it off and on for 3 months, an o.a.p told me to have a spoon full of Lambs navy rum, i tried it it worked but sadly its returned yet again.

It's odd because my wife and kids get colds and bugs yet I don't (well not often). Might be something in it what Denise says about good old blueberries :)

I have blueberries every day with breakfast. You're gonna tell me I get them from a cheap store rather than Waitrose and thats why they are not working for me.

:D

Blueberries are blueberries Alan. I use to buy fresh and nothing else after once trying the frozen and not liking them, however after the price of fresh ones sky rocketed last year I decided to give frozen ones another go and now prefer them,

work a go thankyou x

I must be one of the lucky ones. I was diagnosed T2 in November and I've experienced significant weight loss since the end of August. I haven't had a cold for the last three years and I work with young children with questionable hygiene habits! lol. Colleagues drop like flies and I'm still standing. I get symptoms... itchy throat, sneezing and a bit of a runny nose, but it doesn't develop. I'd like to think it's down to my new healthy eating habits but I was the same before. I also don't get the nasty 24 hour tummy bugs that often do the rounds.

I'm not sure I want the flu jab if offered. I once had one around 30 years ago and I had the worst cold I had ever had!
