I've noticed that my son's bloods climb rapidly when playing these games ie fortnite anybody else out there with this trend

Maybe the stress of playing? I play tournament chess, and need about +20% or +30% temp basal during the games - it's very tense and challenging, so I could imagine other games being similar. Make sure he stays hydrated when he's playing. Last tournament I played in, there was another diabetic there, they had to go to hospital for DKA after the first game.
