I look to you good people who use this forum for advice. Over the past year I have suffered light headedness, dizziness, shakes, weird blood glucose levels from 1.5 to 7.8. I have had fasting bloods taken showing no problems. I have been fasted in hospital for 3 days to check for pancreatic tumour activity. I now have chronic pain in the knuckle joint of one of my big toes. I do not suffer noticeably from the normal symptoms of diabetes, such as frequent urination, thirst or weight loss. I am seeing a joint specialist tomorrow regarding my toe. When descibing the symptoms to him the first thing he asked was if I was type 2 diabetic. Has anyone else suffered from similar symptoms? Is there other symptoms I should be looking for? Or am I worrying too much?

HI
As you know we are not doctors and can only go by our own experience, but from the first part of your conversation i would say you may have been hypo. The other sysytem i could come up with i wondered whether you had neuropathy. but until you know the diagnosis try not to worry, i know it's easy for us to say but this won't help your BG level.
Hope all goes well.
Keep in touch so we know your ok.
Take care

I know that I have had varying and similar symptoms at different times over the last few years, but I am not sure my response would help to remove your health concerns. Therefore I hope you find my further thoughts more supportive to your concerns...I know they help me when I'm not sure where to start or what to do!

...I know this is easier said than done...but, what's the good of worrying as it wont change anything. With health issues there are nurses, GP's Hospitals, specialists etc, all there to help you with your specific health concerns. Rather than worry, why not pursue a goal to find out information to deal with your health, then if you want you could share the knowledge with the forum if you would like support. I have certainly found the topics covered by the people on this forum very encouraging and informative.

Best of luck
