Confused about Animas Pumps

I've been researching insulin pumps for my daughter and I quite like the Animas pump. I've found the Animas 2020 pump which looks good but I also have seen the Animas OneTouch Ping. Is the OneTouch Ping available in the UK? I have only been able to find info on it in the US website and not the UK website. Does anyone know, is it available in the UK or will it be soon?
 
Hi; I've recently starting using the Animas 2020 which is really good. I also saw about the Ping but as you say I think it is only available in the US at the moment. If you are obtaining yours through NHS you will have probably be limited with choice but as i'm delighted with mine I'm not complaining!
 
Hello all, just a note, im about to choose my pump and i have 2 im very interested in, the Animas 2020 and the Accu Chek combo, i am more heading for the Accu Chek as it has a remote, their is a 3rd called "CellNovo" but if this was out now i wouldnt even consider the first 2, sadly the cellnovo will be out after i have to choose my pump, so now your question, the "Ping" is only available in the USA, i have spoken to Animas and it is due to licencing reasons? Such a shame as i think this is better than the Accu Check.

Good luck with the pump but if you can hold out till the end of the year take a look at the cellnovo pump, looks liks a iphone and i have chatted to them and there very well clued up.

Hope this helps and lastly, try and get you daughter ( and yourself) on the DAFNE course at the local hospital, i had to have this to get the pump interview.
