Confused dot com ?!?!

Ok...am so confused now.....I go to bed at 11pm and I was at 8.2 ....I did not have anything sugar wise to prop up bg.....I just did my normal bed time slow nova pen

I wake and just done blood .....and it blooming 14.6 what the smegg!!!!

Any thoughts
 
You could be coming down with something.

Your basal might need increased.

It might just be a blip.

It could even be that you went hypo through the night and this is a rebound.

Can't really tell with one morning's result.

Did you check for ketones?
 
Morning Jonny, yes consider it a blip, as a one off event it's nothing to worry about, as a regular occurrence it needs investigation.

I recommend a phaal curry if your coming down with a cold, if you can eat one and live it will certainly rid you of any impending cold ;)

Believe a Honeymoon Period can last weeks, months and even years in exceptional cases, if your bg is rising by 6mmol overnight then your basal insulin needs adjusting, speak with your DSN and they will advise you further.

A silly question but I always ask, 'are you washing your hands properly' before you test in the morning?
