I have recently been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Just getting over a chest infection Dr gave me Prednisilone steriods. Started to suffer with extreme thirst and blurred vision (nothing to do with alcohol..honest). Diagnosed type 2 as BS reading was 10+,therfore I was put on 1 x 500mg Metformin morning and night.
I have just had the old feet tested and nurse advised me to have swine flu injection while I was there.
Shortly after she gave me my BS tester and so I had a go..BS reading was 17.7 even though I had been eating correctly and exercising.
Has anybody had elevated BS levels after having swine flu jab??
Tested it the following day and it was 10.1..still high but just getting used to new lifestyle.
So many questions....ah well one day at a time..
