I downloaded the Sugar Smart app and scanned a Vimto zero, which I had always assumed to be NIL sugars. However the app shows me the picture which says it has 2.5grams of sugar. Should I be worried?

Hi there!

I wouldn't be worried by that at all. 2.5 grams of sugar won't affect your glucose levels that much I promise you. It's something to be aware of, but it's almost none existent.

Don't drink a lot of it otherwise it adds up. If you're only having one though, it's negligible.

Hope this helps!

It might be that if the serving size they suggest contains less than one gram of sugar so, legally, they can declare it as zero - just check how many servings one pack contains.
