Okay so bear with me?
I'm 17 and my whole life has been regular 3-6 month checkups of my glucose levels and blood tests due to diabetes being hereditory on my fathers side with every member of his family having it. I've always been around 6-10 on my glucose levels depending on if i've eaten etc.
recently I've started having alot of problems with my kidneys, constant uti's for the past 4 months.
so for a couple months it's been ups and downs of the constant need to go to the toilet, day and night, Always thirsty somehow, regardless of the high level of fluids daily, my eyesight is terrible haha, I'm always tired ( I'm also heavily anaemic so this could be due to that also ) my weight has fluctuated and I've lost quite a bit of weight since the september. was a size 12, now a comfortable 8. as well as this almost every time I stand up after having sat down for a while I'm dizzy with head rush that's agonizing.
none of my doctors the past couple of months have mentioned my family history or checked my blood sugars.
Should I be worried at all?
 
I'd make an appointment to see your doctor. Mention your family history and your symptoms too and they should do a blood test for,you :)

Fully agree with @azure .. go and get a proper check-up with your G.P. sooner you do the sooner you can sort things out... Do come back here for info and ask any questions that you may have.

I also agree you need to ask your doctor for tests.

However, as you are "heavily anaemic" the normal HbA1c diagnostic test may be unsuitable for you as it will never give an accurate measurement. You need a Fructosamine test and an OGGT. You may have difficulty persuading your doctor to do a Fructosamine test as they are expensive.
