Need some advice on what is probably an often asked question, have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes,my last blood test came back with a reading of 68, the previous one was 57 so there is an increase over a 12 month period, , I purchased a meter and this showed the first reading was 11,8 but this has gradually reduced and varies between 6.9 ang 5.8. I have started on a course of Metformin
My problem is how to distinguish between the gp result of 58 and the meter readings, which seem to use a totally different method, i realise it maybe down to my ignorance but there must be a logical explanation somewhere ,why does the meter show the results as a figure with a decimal point, and measures far lower than the gps results , so it’s difficult to,be able to,know whether my efforts are working?apologies in advance if this post doesn’t make sense
