Hi,
I have posted before in reactive hypoglycemia thread but after seeing endocrinologist I’m even more confused.
I was seeing a dietician for fatigue and she noticed I was getting fatigue only and certain points in the day and suggested it was a glucose issue. I wore a libre cgm that picked up constant spikes up to 14mmol all day including many lows especially in an afternoon and overnight between 2-3am on average. My blood sugar can go from 14mmol to 2.8mmol in a few hours on an afternoon.
Fast forward I have seen an endocrinologist who suspects pre diabetes as type 2 runs in my family. She didn’t mention reactive hypoglycemia. Recently I have finger pricked to test my fasting bloods and post meal bloods. Some readings fasting: 6.8, 7.2, 8.6. Readings recently post meal 2 hours: 15.1, 9.8 but then I’ve also had some good readings mixed in,
I’ve had constant fatigue for years and aches, dizziness, thirst, general bad immune system with constant infections. My hba1c is 30 so I’ve always been dismissed as not being diabetic however my dietician pointed out that reading is low as my blood sugars are swinging up and down so much. I’m awaiting some fasting glucose results - so I’m so confused what to do in terms of exercise and diet.
What are people’s thoughts? Diabetes?
Is that hba1c really low?
Thank you
