Prediabetes Confusing OGTT results

Two weeks ago I was diagnosed with enlarged thyroid. The issue started at least 2-3 years ago according to the endocrinologist. Because of the connection between the thyroid and the pancreas I went to an OGTT. The results are a little bit confusing and the endocrinologist said that I could be diagnosed with "hidden diabetes" - I have no idea what that means. However, she said we are going to give it a "desperate try" to reverse the condition to a normal state.

She prescribed me two pills - one for controlling the blood sugar and one that will prevent the pancreas cells being destroyed (which according to her already happened 50/50). Also I have to eat 3 times a day at exact hours - 7:30, 12:30 and 18:00. Between them I can only drink water or tea. I was surprised I can eat sweets and drink alcohol since my condition is that serious. The only restriction on the food I have is to eat proteins at breakfast.

Here are the results from the OGTT:
Fasting BS 5.2 (4.10-6.40)
60 min BS 12.04
120 min BS 6.36
180 min BS 3.88
Fasting insulin 10.19 (2.6-24.9)

TSH: 2.38 (0.27-4.2)
FT4 21.69
A-TPO 29.16 (0-34)

What I don't understand is how is it possible my 0 and 120 min are just fine and at the same time I fail so much at 60 min and somewhat at 180 min. I am unable to find a clear information what is the normal BS at 60 min. Most of the sources say it's important the BS at 0 min and at 120 min. However, a random BS should not exceed 11.1. Should I consider the 60 min result after drinking 75g of glucose to be a random BS?

In addition, I was never told I should take at least 120 (or 150) g of carbs the previous 3 days. I was actually told I should not eat potatoes, rice and cabbage the previous day. Also, during the OGTT I walked outside the clinic to kill time and I'm wondering if both things may have increased my BS.

I also don't know are these results enough for a diabetes diagnosis? And one more thing - is this regime of eating at certain hours actually good? I find it a little bit unconvincing having said that I can eat whatever I want and no physical activity was recommended to me.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you!

I guess I will wait for a few moths to see the effects of the l-tyroxin on my thyroid. Hopefully, if things get better with it that will help the pancreas as well.

Here are the results from the OGTT:
Fasting BS 5.2 (4.10-6.40)

120 min BS 6.36
180 min BS 3.88
Fasting insulin 10.19 (2.6-24.9)

1) Basically this would mean that you have impaired glucose tolerance and lost much of the 1st phase insulin response. But still retain a robust 2nd phase insulin response. This means that if you have a high carbs meal, you would likely experience intense/uncontrolled hunger due to reactive hypoglycemia. This is rather typical of a early prediabetes state where fasting glucose is still relatively good.

2) The fasting insulin is actually on the high normal side, although the range is given as 2.6-24.9. Insulin sensitive individuals would target to have fasting insulin levels around 3.
