Hey Peeps
I got diagnosed with type one about 6 months ago so I am fully aware that I'm still in my honeymoon
I Been struggling with my sugars recently not behaving correctly when I'm taking my insulin. I've been noticing some strange readings recently noticed something today.
This morning I had breakfast as normal just after 8 I was 6.1 mmol and I had breakfast approx. 75g of carbs so I took 8 Units of my novarapid
I turned up to work about midday and was 7.0 mmol and this is where I find my figures go a bit wonky and thought I accidently took 20 units of novarapid (10 at arriving and another 10 when getting in at my desk I know this because of the unit markings on the pen I noticed that it was lower than it was meant to be) and no food just 3 cups of latte with single skimmed milk yet 2 hours later I check my sugars are only 4.1mmol ( A little low but normally I wouldn't worry to much as I don't need to drive for work just sit at a desk or walk about a factory floor a little).
Another hour after that and my sugars are at 5.1mmol.
why would my sugars react in such strange fashion and rise would it be because of the milk in my coffee?
