Hi all
I find a problem in my travel so that the diet is difficult
How can I behave especially when I am a guest when some of my relatives
I find myself very embarrassed when I do not eat bread with them

Is there anyone here who has advice and thanks ?

Have you tried explaining to them the consequences of you of eating bread? I’m sure they wouldn’t want to be the cause of ill health for you. My family and friends, once they understand how I’m controlling my diabetes have been very accommodating.

Many of them understand but I feel Awkwardness for that

When offered something I don’t eat I just say “no thank you”
When asked why I say “I feel so much better when I avoid it.”
I then change the subject. Usually I ask people about their work or children and they forget what your eating or not eating.

So I'm here to ask what I should do

I don't know the standards and expectations of your culture but potentially causing offence is far preferable to causing you harm. Explain it and explain it once, unless of course you feel somewhat ashamed of your condition. Where are you when this happens? Restaurant or at a relative's home?

I go to my daughter's every Sunday always had what she cooked, but last week I said I didn't want a sandwich and she's asked is crab ok and she did me a lovely salad.I did feel awkward at first but when I told her what I don't eat, she was very understanding. As long as you mention it before you go I am sure they will be alright about it. X
