Just got back from getting the results of my h1c1b1m1 etc etc.
Its down from 11.7 when i was diagnosed in Jan to 7. So she was delighted.
Lost 6kg too another 6 to go.
Ive stopped smoking too, shes still worried about my blood pressure but heyho can't have everything.
She says I deserve a pat on the back, nice one.

Brilliant news Dawn. It's such a boost when we see figures that show our hard work paying off. I am so pleased for you. [now where did those pom-poms go].

WOW! You done great  Congrats on a job well done

Well done dawn
Sounds like you HAVE worked hard with things , things are working out so well for you too.
Your nurse was right, feel so proud and give yourself that pat on the back !

I'm not a veggie, but the rest of your post so resonates with me. The support here is what got me where I am. Good innit?

Bloody marvellous. Mind you I should be sewing, but since diagnosis it sort of fills your head. So I have admiration for those leaving the house to work. Or is it just me, I'm not obsessive but when something pops into my head I have to research it, easy to do when I work from home.

Snap on all counts except I am a total obsessive. From eyes opening 'till closing. My friend thinks it's a self preservation mechanism. Once I am happy with my BG and control it will ease. I hope so, as it really is all consuming for me at the moment.

Marvellous news! Congrats on all your hard work and effort! That's a HUGE drop in Hba1!

I should be sewing too - new Roman blinds for our bedroom - but I'm on here looking for low carb supper ideas. Quite obsessed with that! I wish my husband had been obsessed when first diagnosed but he went the opposite way, head in the sand. He's fine now though and looking forward to a deep discussion about low carbing with the Dietetics peeps on Wednesday.......not sure they'll share his enthusiasm!

That is fantastic!!

That takes a lot of work so  to you.!!

Hey giving up smoking whilst you have been working on your weight and blood/glucose level is really the icing on the cake we are'nt supposed to have anymore so a pat on the back is more than justified.

With the dedication you have shown since January, getting your BP down will be a doddle. :)
