Type 1 Constant highs

Hi everyone, I have a daughter who is type 1 diabetic and she is 23 months old. She was diagnosed six months ago so I'm not sure if her honeymoon is coming to a end. She is become increasingly high all day even when she doesn't eat anything with carbs in between meals with the exception upon awakening in the morning she goes hypo. I have to give her a few corrections during the day and sometimes when I do she drops to under 4mmol but if I don't she will remain high. Does anyone know from experience why this is happening?......i feel like I'm just chasing my tail

What sort of numbers are the highs you are correcting for? What correction dose are you giving? When you are correcting, how long after the last meal and bolus dose is it? What is she up to after a correction dose? I'm assuming at 2 years old she's unlikely to be sitting stock still for any extended period, there's likely to be quite a lot of toddling going on.

Have you got a half unit pen? I'd avoid corrections that are causing hypos, because those are, quite obviously, over correcting.
