I just never give it a second thought. I test my blood when I get up, inject my insulin and take my tablets. I don’t think about it till I go to bed when again I test my blood and take my insulin. It’s something I’ve never worried about even when my sugars were very high or at the end of last year when my hba1c was 119.
Hi I see from your first forum post that you've been T1 for 4 years?
I think things do get easier with time on this one. I've been T1 for 52 years and I've lived through no glucometers, glucometers and now cgms (libre and dexcom). I would urge you to get a libre from your team if you don't already happen and remember that your blood sugar doesn't have to be in range all the time.
I check mine regularly, using a Libre, but I don't worry about them. They just tell me what, if any action I should take, much like thirst telling me I should drink or cold telling me I should put on more clothes.
