Hi latest on my high bg levels had a letter today from the consultant at hospital starting that my levels are fine and will see me in 6 months and the db nurses will look at my libre sensor in a couple of weeks as I have linked it to the hospital computer. Do I now say to my doctors you will have to deal with my blood sugars now with the head of diabetics nurse knowing not a thing about insulin sugars are still in there twenties and hb1ac is at 95 does this class as negligence to a patient .I have seen the diabetic team at the hospital every 6 weeks for the last 8 years admitted they have tried all sort to try and get blood sugars down but if anything they have got worse in the last 6 months feeling very deflated and don’t really no who to turn to next

I can't see what type of diabetes you have? I would guess T1 as you see a hospital consultant. I would express concern that your HbA1c is still so high. I hope some knowledgeable insulin users will come along to help you soon.

Edit I see you are IR T2

Can it be your consultant has your numbers mixed up with someone elses?
Those numbers definitely aren't fine.
Is this a specialist (what type of specialist?) or a GP type doctor?
I got diagnosed with type 2 with severe insulin resistance
What tests did you have to confirm T2 and severe insulin resistance?

No he’s known about them being that high for over 4 years he is a professor of lipids and diebetilogi cal he runs a very big clinic at the hospital and has several consultants under him I asked a few years ago for a second opinion as I was getting nowhere I was taking nearly a thousand units of basal a day when I was at my worse sugars in the thirties he still didn’t admit me in to hospital had a second opinion guess who is boss was yes my consultant.now I struggle doing anything anymore walking absolutely kills my legs and feet now neuropathy in my hands 24/7 very painful . I’ve had lots of different blood tests in the past inc a gad test which was i think 67 I’ve just found and put in order all my letters and results into some kind of order and did come across that test and ncg tests and haematology results my cholesterol was at 1 point 26 and triglycerides 62 he did say at the time that’s the highest ever seen so something not right thankfully I’ve got them down now to around 9 chol and 7 for trigs still to high but nothing on them from about 3 year ago
