Contrast showers for improving circulation

I’ve been generally having cold showers in the hot weather but I recently came across sites claiming contrast showers (hot then cold) where good for stimulating blood circulation, but warned against diabetics doing it.

Anyone care to share experiences/opinions on the matter?

I have just had a shower fitted, its nice and handy, but I must admit I do still love a bath. I used to splash cold water on my face because it helps tighten the skin, but don't want to do it on all of my body, toooooooooo colddddddddd (shivers) bbbrrrrrrr RRB
