Control solutions question

Heya, I just bought a new batch of test strips for my Accu Chek Performa Nano but they're giving different results from the others which seems suspicious. I still have the control solution from my old Glucorx Nexus monitor - I discarded the monitor due to how inaccurate it turned out to be.

Can I use ANY control solution with any monitor or must it be the same brand? Unfortunately nobody local to me sells the solution.

2 mmol difference from the last batch. They're identical strips for an identical device but with different readings in the same circumstances.

The control solutions for different monitors may well be different from each other.
For example on my Aviva Test strips the control ranges are: Level 1: 1.7 - 3.3 and Level 2: 14.1-19.1, whereas for my TrueYou strips it has 3 levels of 1: 2.1-3.8, 2: 6.0-8.1 and 3: 16.2-20.9, so you can see their control solutions must be set to different levels, the value of the solution is nowhere to found on the little solution bottle (though maybe in the instructions I've never read)
