I can have good glycemic control. I have had off and on for 40yrs but I'm still insulin resistant and extremely over weight. No matter what exercises, diet or weight loss. No difference.
Just a lighter good controlled diabetic.
Do I have to have a gastric part removal to prove that. Not if I can help it!

Just saw this on the CBC website. http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/study-type-2-diabetes-questions-medical-dogma-no-evidence-1.3762658

It sounds like he doesn't have all the information or he's cherry picking. But he does have a point that we may not be exploring all avenues.

This doctor disagrees with him. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/calgary/type-2-diabetes-mayo-clinic-study-1.3764936

my thoughts on the argument/ claime is that maybe the doctors in the USA when giveíng their patients metformine are not laying weight enough on the fact that that medicine and others alike do not do very much actually, that most of the job is the job of dieting all the time and the medicine is at its best maybe only 10% of controlling the blood glucose..
some other doctors have theories that diabetes 2 is initially not really about blood glucose at all, but due to a bad state of the tissue in the intessties and inner organs with small defects and infections all over inside the body that leads to inflamations and makes the basis for plak inside the blood vessels which later leads to heartattacks and so on... and that the raised blood glucose is just a side effect of an underlying kind of illness/defect in the ability to heal ones tissue

There are so many causes of T2, that he is indeed cherry picking.
Only a suitable treatment wether it is dietary or meds is what our medical team should be all about.
One size (or label) doesn't fit all!
