so, Ive been having problems for a little while and I've been trying to resolve it with adjustments to dosages and so on.

The main issue is that after breakfast and lunch my levels go a little high, but not too high around the 9 mark, but then they start to drop significantly. This is very noticeable after lunch where around 2 hours later I will drop to the low 4s and often go into the 3s, which of course isnt good.
I have tried to increase my rapid to prevent me from going high, thus preventing me from dropping, however this doesnt work and I still go low.
I have also recently tried splitting my baseline insulin. Is this a baseline insulin problem, ie am I doing too much which is making me go low in between meals.
If I lower my baseline insulin would I need to increase the amount of rapid that I do? I am reluctant to do this as for breakfast and lunch I am already taking 2 units of insulin for every 10 carbs.

I hope you can help :)

Try injecting ahead of your food to give your insulin time to work so it can keep pace with your food, all quick-acting insulins take around 15 mins to begin to work.

To rule out your basal insulin being the cause of your lows do some basal checks, if your basal insulin is fine you can then look at your insulin-to-carb ratio's.

An explanation on how to go about doing a basal check:

Try not to do any form of exercise for about 30-45 minutes after eating your meals cheers Shayne
