I'm not sure how things are going to go.

My blood sugars have been above 14. I expected the high one last night as I'd had a piece of cake whilst visiting and had to eat as hungry. So wasn't too concerned. However, this morning, was 14.7. I hadn't eaten since 9.30pm, I only had a few sips of peppermint tea to stop the dry mouth syndrome issue

I don't want to ring the GP because we are going on a day trip, I've been so looking forward to the trip and I don't want to let the family down as it's a group outing, so lots of people going and hubbie is the main driver.

I had Oatabix for breakfast. Just taken my meds (few are cautioned in issues if you have sugar issues, so they will push up the levels. I have delayed the steroid till lunchtime, mainly due to the contra-indicators with stomach meds but also as it affects the BSL's and pushing high wise.

My carer finally located the Lift glucose shots, so we have them in case things go the other way, which coz now in the glitz tablets is a high possibility.

The main issue is how can I get the BSL's down to safe levels?

Just don't want to be 100 of miles away from home and things go wrong.

I know other people have already mentioned this to you, but as T2s if we eat high-carb items such as cake and oatabix we will inevitably see high blood sugars.

If it was me, I'd start by reducing the amount of carb consumed.
