CoQ10

I take this supplement and usually get it from Amazon as a capsule, however when I was in Holland and Barrett today stocking up on things including flax I saw that Linwoods are doing a flaxseed, almonds, brazil nuts and Q10 mix. I have grabbed a bag and am going to try it when my current bag of flax runs out. I also grabbed a flaxseed cocoa and berries, and will try that as well.

I use the recommended 30g a day on my Greek yogurt and berry's, a meal that I love and have every day, but I also use flax in baking, so will get a good dose of the Q10 daily. :D

Hope this helps the forums Q10 users.

Jo I buy my Q10 off the internet from Puritans Pride. I got six hundred 100mg Softgels for roughly the same cost as thirty 100mg Softgels that I bought from Holland and Barrett. They take around 10 days to arrive and sometimes get caught up in customs so that you have to pay import duty but they still work out loads cheaper than anywhere in the UK. They are an identical product in identical packaging as you get in the UK. I also get my Gymnema and my B12 supplement from them.

That's a lot cheaper than mine Steve. Mine are Doctor's best with BioPerine? Would you PM me the details of where you get yours please? No harm in getting them in supplement form and with my daily flax. :D

Hi Jo

Just wondering what you take the flax seed for - does it contain CQ10? Have taken CQ10 for ages since I started a statin as my Bowen therapis advised me to as apparently statins deplete our bodies of CQ10.

Hi there Jude, hope you're well. I take flax seed as it is an excellent source of fibre. 30g a day sprinkled on my Greek yogurt and berry's each day, it is my favourite meal of the day. The flax tastes delicious, and I bake with it as well.

The Linwoods flax does contain CoQ10. I picked up a bag yesterday from Holland and Barrett. This is their web page: http://www.linwoodshealthfoods.com/ I buy CoQ10 as a supplement, but this could be an added extra of the Co to make sure we get plenty.

Hi ladies

I too am a great muncher of Q10 and love the energy it gives me. Did you know that flaxseed (also called linseed) is also a fab source of Omega-3. This is helpful for the vegetarians amongst us who can't eat fish oils. Omega-3 helps to lower cholesterol.

Thanks for the link Steve. I have just realised my Gymnema are Puritans Pride. When I placed my order last night on the PP website, I recognised the label. When I took my Gymnema this morning it clicked that I do have the PP brand, bought from Amazon. The PP website is a lot cheaper and I also ordered my acai berry and Q10 yesterday, so cheers for that. :D
