Corn Plasters

I've just discovered I have a corn on my foot which hurts quite a bit when I'm on my feet. Do corn plasters really help to cushion the corn so it doesn't hurt anymore?

My mum is quite prone to corns, she's not diabetic though, it depends where exactly the corn is whether or not the plaster will keep hold, she recently discovered some sort of cream you apply that helps get rid of them, she says it works really well, just had a look for it, here's the link https://www.avon.uk.com/product/306...ks/foot-works-intensive-callus-and-corn-cream xx

The only way you can really sort it go to a podiatrist and have it debrided and enucleated plasters may relieve the pain short term but will not help in the long run.
