Hi all,
During tests this year I found the possible reason why low carb, although solving my RH problems, has not put me out of the prediabetic range.
Suppression of ACTH from the Pituatory does not collapse my cortisol, so the adrenal tumour producing massive amounts of aldosterone also produces some endogenous cortisol.
Hence I may have to take some Metformin to counteract this problem.
Interesting!
My dexa test was ok.

Now 80 so I can't grumble!
Hi all,
Had a further improvement in my GGT in recent blood work.
From 140+ a few years ago it is now back down to the historical low of 35.
So even in old age it is possible to get to grips with metabolic syndrome!
HBA1c not ideal but still in prediabetic range at 46.
Best wishes to all.
Hope the new year finds you and yours well.
Derek
