Type 2 cough medicines

i have just been diagnosed with type 2 5 months ago it's getting into that time of year where i live for colds and flu.wondering is over the counter cough remedies ok.thank you for your replies

All of those cough medicines I can think of taste sweet, even the old home made recipe my family dug up from somewhere. I suppose you will have to decide whether you want the cough or not. Difficult one.

Some medications can play games with BG. You would have to ask the pharmacist about specific medicines. Most over the counter cough medicines don't really help much with cough and as @Squire Fulwood said are full of sugar. Many use alcohol as well.

Robitussin sugar free for coughs. Comes in a blue box and only from pharmacies. I get it from Boots.

Just get a sugar free cough syrup and standard paracetomol for everything else...
