Could I be diabetic but still show normal results?

I want to know if it is possible to develop type 2 diabetes with a "normal" GTT. I have an interesting history with diabetes. I have had 3 pregnancies but all with "normal" GTT despite sugar in the urine. In my last pregnancy, the SHO who saw me at the hospital referred me to the Diabetic Team in spite of the "normal" results because my first child was 9lb14 and I was suffering greatly with resless legs and extreme tiredness. The diabetic team were surprised I had been referred but put me on a monitor for a week only to then decided that a diagnosis was indeed required of Gestational Diabetes. Eventually I had to inject insulin to maintain glucose levels and felt so much better. My post delivery GTT showed my blood glucose levels to be again "normal".
I have now had 3 GTT post pregnancy showing "normal". However, recently I have been feeling like I did during my Gestational Diabetes - I am tired, thirsty and have restless legs. Twice I have also felt extremely shaky when I haven't eaten properly. Definitely not GD - can state that for sure - 3 kids is enough! The most recent GTT showed 5.8 resting and 5.4 at 2 hours. I am seeing the doctor next week but wondered if it is possible for this to be within "normal" but for me to have diabetes or Impaired GT?
Thanks for any help.

First of all if you hadn't eaten much or at all when you felt 'shaky' that could well have just been the warning signs of a low blood sugar level. You body telling you that you need to eat to put some glucose back into your bloodstream.

If this persists after eating properly then you should discuss this with your GP/Nurse as it could be down to many things, many of which are not Diabetes related. We cannot diagnose your symptoms.
