I’ve been diagnosed type one since 4th of January this year after thinking I was type 2. At first my glucose was ridiculously high and I’ve been on relatively small doses of insulin. At the moment I’m on 8 long lasting at night and only 3 novo rapid if my reading is over 7 before meals .
Well I’ve only needed to take my novo rapid twice in the last two days and just before my lunch today I was reading 3.9 ,bit low .Im not sure if this is good or bad but I’ve just had a good scoff and I have been working very hard lately.
Could it be that I’m working hard that’s keeping me low or the honeymoon period I’ve read so much about.Apart from having a bit of blurred vision and the odd bad mood I’ve felt much better lately .I see the nurse again on Friday but wondered how you guys got on in your first couple of weeks .Im a painter and tiler by trade and I ‘ve worked every day since my diagnosis, you have to If it’s your own business.I think keeping busy helps enormously and I’m getting my muscle tone back with a much healthier diet and whey protein shakes .Id lost three stone before diagnosis. I expect my sugars will go mental again just when I get complacent.
